The Legacy
Al McBeth
Baja racing + the origins of Concept.
Founded by Al McBeth, Concept’s roots run deep in the off-road and UTV world. Al was a racer, innovator and someone who continually pushed beyond what was thought possible.
From racing Baja to launching UTVs farther than anyone had before, Al didn't just push the limits of the sport. He shattered world records.
World Record Breaking Jumps
223 FTHis record-breaking jumps became part of UTV history, repeatedly breaking his own marks and ultimately reaching an incredible 223 feet. Those achievements helped redefine what was possible in a UTV and put Al, and the Concept name, firmly into off-road history.
Our History Goes Back Further Than Our Ownership
Long before Big Country Customs took ownership of Concept Distributing, our paths were already connected. BCC built Al's Baja chase trucks, supporting the racing program and off-road world that helped shape Concept.
- Before 2022BCC built Al’s Baja chase trucks.
- 2022BCC acquired Concept Distributing.
- 2026BCC is carrying the company and its legacy forward.
When BCC took the reins of Concept Distributing in 2022, it wasn't the beginning of that relationship.
It was the next chapter.
Strength Beyond Strength
strength beyond strength /strɛŋkθ bɪˈjɒnd strɛŋkθ/noun [uncountable] [idiomatic]A state of transcendent capability, resilience, or structural fortitude that far surpasses standard thresholds or expected limits of endurance; power generated by compounding or exceeding a maximal baseline of force.
Concept will never lose the trajectory Al built. His drive to go farther, build stronger and refuse to accept the expected is still part of who we are today.
STRENGTH BEYOND STRENGTH.
It's more than our motto. It's the foundation Concept was built on and the standard we're carrying into its future.
Al shattered world records by refusing to believe the sky was the limit.
Neither do we.
